NOT the Nunavut Court of Justice

What is This Site?

The Nunavut Court of Justice ("NCJ") used to have a website that was retro-looking, but functional, and contained all sorts of useful documents.

In mid-2026, the NCJ unveiled a new website. It is visually appealing, modern, and well laid out. Unfortunately, however, the new website is missing some of the most essential content from the old website.

If and when the NCJ puts these essential documents back on their own website, we'll link to the version on the NCJ's website (and ultimately delete this page entirely once all these resources are back in their rightful place: the NCJ's real website).

Until then, please see below for links to documents and other resources that may meet some of your needs. No promises, none of this is official, use your own judgment.

Chambers Times

The NUCJ lists regular chambers dates (which vary from month to month) here. What they don't list is the start time for "regular" chambers. To the best of our knowledge, "regular" chambers start as follows:

Type Start Time (Iqaluit Time)
Civil 13h30
Child Protection 9h30
Family ???
Criminal ???

Forms Associated with Practice Directives

The Forms provided by the Rules can be found at the back of the Rules. Many of the Practice Directives, however, create their own forms. These were left off the new website. Copies are available below.
